O&#039;Mara is rather stereotype but we needed it so that the audience could settle. She was important for &#039;comic relief&#039; where the Clergyman Romanian dialogue at the beginning did not really work - basically not very funny. The dean came into his own later. The two young main parts struggled in terms of dramatic presence and indeed voice projection. O&#039;Mara was remarkable for having a muffled voice that one could hear perfectly! The gem in the play in terms of acting and dramatic presence was Winklekopf - sheer comic pleasure. In terms of plot the bit that was unclear was why LAS turned from incredulity to the complete opposite on the powers of Podgers, having only been told he was good at cricket...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thanks for your comments, which i enjoyed&lt;/p&gt; </description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I saw it last night.
